The Mission

Welcome to Plot for Good - the charitable arm of Plottr, born from my belief that stories have the power to transform lives. I’ve always found ways to give back to the community and serve the people around me, and now as an organization we can serve people on a grand scale.

Just as Plottr helps writers of all ages bring clarity and structure to their ideas, Plot for Good extends that mission to the next generation. We support youth writing and literacy initiatives, providing young people with the tools, confidence, and imagination to share their own stories. 

Each year, we will find ways to give back in our local community as well as nationally, as we serve writers all over the world. This may be by partnering with a charitable organization and raising funds, or holding a free all-day plotting seminar with young writers.

Rooted in the ethos that every voice matters, our goal is to spark a love of writing and reading that will inspire creativity expand opportunity, and shape brighter futures. Join with us as we change one little part of the world - for good.

Cosmic Writers

Our first partner in Plot for Good is Costmic Writers, a national 501(c)(3) that uses creative writing education to build children’s literacy and communication skills. They have served children in 40 states and 18 countries.

Only 33% of US children can read and write at grade level. Cosmic Writers believe the key cause is that few children find ELA to be engaging, and their goal is to change that. By teaching core skills through exciting genres ranging from science fiction to slam poetry, Cosmic Writers helps students to find the joy in writing and thus become self-motivated to develop their skills.

This holiday season, as Wicked: For Good takes theaters by storm, join with us to Plot for Good as we raise funds for our charitable partner, Cosmic Writers.

From Giving Tuesday through the end of the year, every purchase of Plottr Lifetime from this site will give $10 to support young writers across the country. You’ll also have the option to add on an extra donation, helping encourage and equip the next generation of storytellers.

Then, for every $1,000 raised, we’ll donate a lifetime subscription of Plottr to Cosmic Writers, ensuring their mentors have access to the tools they need to empower student voices.
